Общий объем инвестиций в Rimac составит 80 млн евро, но при этом две корейские марки обязались внести разную сумму. Hyundai инвестирует 64 млн, а на долю Kia останутся 16 млн.

Вероятнее всего, именно поэтому основную выгоду от сотрудничества планирует получить как раз Hyundai. Уже объявлено, что плодом взаимодействия корейцев с создателями электрических гиперкаров из Хорватии станут сразу две "зеленых" новинки.
Первым проектом назван среднемоторный спорткар с электрической силовой установкой. В подробности участники проекта пока не вдаются, но не исключено, что речь идет о продолжении работ над проектом Racing Midship, в рамках которого Hyundai строила быстрые хэтчбеки на платформе Veloster с центральным расположением двигателя.
Вторым должен оказаться еще один мощный автомобиль – но на этот раз с установкой на топливных элементах. Стоит отметить, что согласно просочившимся недавно производственным планам альянса, выйти на рынок водородная модель должна уже в 2020 году и будет представлять собой большой седан. Правда, пока речь идет о выводе такой модели в продажу под брендом Kia, но, вероятнее всего, именно эта совместная разработка будет выпускаться под обоими корейскими брендами.
Таким образом, если в процессе сотрудничества с Rimac у Hyundai появятся две оригинальные модели, то линейка Kia пополнится только одной, да и то, судя по всему, перелицованной.
Отметим, что Rimac известна, в основном, гипер-мощными разработками. На счету компании имеется, к примеру, спорткар C_Two, силовая установка которого состоит из четырех электромоторов, совокупно развивающих 1 914 л.с.

SEOUL, ZAGREB, 14 May 2019 – Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors Corporation have jointly invested 80M Euros in Rimac Automobili (Rimac) - the Croatian high-performance electric vehicle technology and sportscar company. The companies have announced a strategic partnership to collaborate on the development of high-performance electric vehicles.
With the new collaboration underway, Hyundai Motor Group aims to speed up its transition towards Clean Mobility and position itself as a global leader in driving this change in the industry.
Rimac has established themselves as a leader in high-performance electric vehicle technology and as an electric sportscar manufacturer. The company continues to deliver EV technology supporting many industry partners, including Hyundai Motor Group, to accelerate their way towards an electric future.
